7 things to do while visiting Long Beach, CA

I feel like Long Beach is very under rated when it comes to tourist visiting, it is actually about a 30min drive (depending on traffic) from LAX to LBC. Back in February I was able to visit the LBC for the We All Grow Conference and was surprised of all the things people can do in Long Beach. Thanks to my We All Grow Familia, I was able to take a day tour throughout Long Beach organized by the Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau  here are my top 5 things to do when you visit the LBC area.

1. Aquarium of the Pacific

If you have children, you will definitely enjoy the Aquarium of the Pacific but even if you don’t have children you will enjoying learning about life underwater. My favorite exhibit was the jellyfish, where I was able to actually touch them.

2. Helicopter ride throughout LBC with Anthelion Helicopters

A helicopter ride was always in my bucket list so when I found out we were doing a ride throughout LBC, I was so excited! The view is like none other especially when you are above the ocean, kinda scary but so fun.

3. Museum of Latin American Art

If you love Latin American Art then you should make a quick stop to MOLAA. The museum is small but the art is stunning.

4. Book a trip to Catalina Island

In the morning we took a trip by the coast on an Avalon where we got to see some dolphins but in High School I actually took a trip to Catalina Island from LBC. So if you are down for a day of adventure I recommend you booking your day trip and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

5. The Queen Mary

I actually didn’t get to go to Queen Mary, It was next to my hotel and heard nothing but great things from those that are from the area. So if you go make sure to let me know how it went. I hear dinner is so worth the experience.

6. Dog Haus Biergarten

My friend Nikki (Nikki Diaz World), who is a local, invited my other roomie Nikki (Lipstick and Brunch) and I to dinner at Dog Haus and let me tell y’all that it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. This is a MUST! My mouth is watering as I write this LOL.

7. Romeo Chocolates

During our tour throughout LBC, Romeo Chocolates filled us with chocolates and lots of treats. The hot chocolate was to die for and the owner was so humble so stop by and say hello. We all need a little sweets in our life.

Here are some pictures from my trip around LBC!
